"Write-error on swap-device" while installing Ubuntu

Bug Description

I got the following errors while installing Ubuntu:

Write-error on swap-device (8:0:28216)
Write-error on swap-device (8:0:28224)
Write-error on swap-device (8:0:28232)
Write-error on swap-device (8:0:28240)
Write-error on swap-device (8:0:28248)
Write-error on swap-device (8:0:28256)

Installation was as follows:
I have download http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/ubuntu-9.10-beta-desktop-armel+dove.img .
Copied the Image to USB Stick ( 2GB micro Cruzer) , booted through the USB stick and clicked on "Install Ubuntu" When I had a 74GB SATA disk connected , I clicked on forward all of the time and the installation was slow where I got the above error messages.

FYI. I did not see this any more with Lucid Alpha3 Dove Ubuntu-netbook livecd.
