Bug Description

I just experienced a bug in the canonicaldirectory lens. Apport offered to report a bug, then determined that canonicaldirectory came from a third-party package and told me to remove it. There would be no point to removing it, since there is no official alternative on which a bug could be reported.

1. apport should not offer to report bugs on third party packages, because it won't actually report bugs on third party packages
2. apport should not suggest I remove third-party packages where there is no corresponding package in the main archive

I ran into this every other time I booted on a system which had the Marlin PPA installed, and had a related crash shortly after login. I can accept that Apport cannot report these types of bugs, but it's very annoying that it keeps asking me if I want to when we both already know that it won't, regardless of my answer.
