Bug Description

It would be nice to have weather animations effects for snow and rain/green slime/whatever that can be activated using map triggers. If it's possible and not too difficult then maybe it could affect unit movements by slowing down certain MovementTypes.

This can already be done via map triggers. -_o

For the record, I just tried this myself and can confirm that, yes, this IS possible with map triggers, custom animations, a custom artmd.ini, and a small amount of time and coding.

Even random lightning strikes can be mimicked (although not perfectly) to look like an ion storm.

However, this is a question of how much time it would take to code this feature versus how much time it would save in total for modders, and more importantly, how many people would use it.

I would use this. Heck, I think a lot of mods would use weather but are stopped because of all the work the map-trigger way takes. And considering in any one mod using effects, they use it in multiple maps, I can see this saving tons of time.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing this as add touch of realism and randomisation too. Having a storm flare up could affect how a battle goes.

Just wondering if "wind" is in [or could be put in] and how it'd affect things, maybe make some things inaccurate/more inaccurate or provide speed boost/decrease for Kirov perhaps?
