Bug Description

just like CoH if any one played it when a unit runs into an obsticl or a wall
or sand bag they will have cover ethier light or med or heavy this is good
for strategic defence or advancment.

 cover.range.factor=num
 cover.anim=shp.file ; indcator that folats near a unit the indecates that a unit is taking light or med or heavy cover
 cover.raduis=num ; the raduis when come in that when i'm in it i will
 have the cover bonus

If I didn't know any better, I'd suspect sock-puppeting with the last 5 of the above anon posts.

Useless feature for RA2. It works in Company of Heroes because it is a tactical game. In CNC you command (and the engine is built around) commanding huge formations- battalions, regiments, even up to division size (in terms of armor)- it's strategic scale, whereas in CoH its fireteam, squad, platoon and company.

That said, this suggestion would be needlessly complicated for little benefit to a game and engine that sideline infantry.

think about it ferther i know Company of Heroes because it is a tactical game
but some modders like speeder the auther of mental omega made the game
almost tactical so it's not that useless or needless

Its not totally useless - just a whole lot of work for the coders to implement that the vast majority of modders aren't looking to use. I do like the idea of making RA2 more tactical, but I don't think this idea is worth the effort.

Speeder did not make Mental Omega tactical. Mental Omega is roughly the same scale of battles as its base game and most CNCs barring CNC-4.
