dash search does not provide partial word matches

Bug Description
The dash search should not require the user to remember the exact wording of the app the user is searching for.
What I expected to happen: I know I want to start sensors, but forgot that the actual program name is xsensors. I type 'sensors' and 'Xsensors' appears in the search results since it is a partial match.
What actually happened: Typing "sensors" does not bring up xsensors in the search results. Xsensors is only shown if the search begins with "xse...".
