Bug Description

The GTK+3 progressbars had their look updated ( https://plus.google.com/109509247327281928543/posts/78CWbPCAVdy ), and the GTK+2 progressbars also need to be updated to be consistent with this look.

I'm not actually working on this at the moment. If anybody else wants to take a crack at it before I can get back to it, then go ahead. The GTK+2 progress bars ideally should look as close as possible to the GTK+3 ones, preferably with a smooth non-glassy gradient (I'd prefer clickable things to have a glossy look, but that's for another day).

The way I usually handle that is to do a big file transfer & do a scrot of the progress bar & edit the image. Doesn't work evey time but it might work for this theme.

Okay; now they look more or less like the ones in GTK 3. I'm not sure how to use screenshots to solve this problem (where do I put the images in gtkrc? A patch would help :D), so I used what Christopher Horton had already done in an attempt to make them look uniform.

BTW Chris, you were soooo close! :)

You're right, Salience has the murrine engine generate the scrollbars. Quite a few of the ones I've worked with lately use images. Would be something like <theme>/gtk-2.0/Progressbar. Doesn't apply to Salience though, as you quickly discovered.
