You were using:
LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Alpha amd64 (20120825)

This is a daily automatic build, which is not tested and not guranteed to work.

If you would like to try installing Ubuntu 12.10 pre-release please use Alpha-3 Images, as they are tested and are known good images.

http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/quantal/alpha-3/

As for your error, it's in the syslog:
Aug 26 13:27:59 ubuntu ubiquity: AttributeError: 'Deb822' object has no attribute 'has_key'

Precise is not affected & there has been fix released in Quantal, pending next daily image.

Sorry a bout that I got muddled - suffering a terrible cold - and things
swim before your eyes!, and I'll get 12.10 down again.
