Bug Description

Wen multiple items have been selected, clicking on one of the selected items while not holding the CTRL or SHIFT key deselects all files except for the item just clicked. I think this is the expected behaviour and it works this way in list and column view. In icon view however, clicking on an already selected item does 'nothing': the clicked item remains selected but the other items are not deselected. The configuration of the auto-select option does not influence this behaviour on my system.

I can reproduce the second part of your bug report (clicking on an item that is already part of a selection doesn't deselect the others).
However, i can't reproduce the first part: I can exclude items from the selection by clicking on them while holding the CTRL key. Can you still reproduce this? If not, please edit the bug summary.

The first one seemed to be resolved; so I've updated the description.
