Bug Description
To reproduce this problem:
1. Start Inkscape with a blank document.
2. Click on the text tool on the toolbox on the left. (Or press the F8 key)
3. Click on the arrow tool on the toolbox. (Or press F1)
4. Click on the text tool (or press F8) again.
5. Notice that the toolbar have disappearing texts, like the screenshot I attached.
This happens on my Windows 7 x64, using the official Windows build of Inkscape 0.48.3.1 or 0.48.4.
I can't reproduce this on Inkscape 0.48.2, so this should be a regression.
