Bug Description

I noticed today that Slingshot is showing applications and categories that are normally hidden, like:

Root Terminal, Wingpanel, an empty "Programming" category, Cerbere, etc.

I wanted to check libappmenu.so but I'm not sure where the location is.

Does this happen only when searching or even in Normal/Category View? (sorry, the image doesn't load). In the former case, it's been asked by designers, although I'm not entirely sold, in the latter, it's definitely a bug.

Oh, now it loads. Could you please provide one or two .desktop files of those apps that are shown but shouldn't? (they're usually located at /usr/share/applications)

Thanks. The aforementioned, offending apps are hidden again. However, the "Programming" category is still there...

I can see something similar to what SP reports. The offending apps are hidden again, but the empty categories aren't hidden (in my case, Science).

On the other hand, offending apps still show up when searching in Slingshot. Is this the intended behavior?
