Bug Description

when i restore a file with deja-dup, there is a popup window that asks for root privileges to run /bin/sh. There is no recognizable connection to deja-dup except for the moment in which this occurs.
Would it be possible to anounce the source of the question in the "details" section or in any other way?

Confirming, but setting Low priority since this only appears when restoring files outside of $HOME, which isn't very common for Deja Dup's primary use case.

To fix this, we'd need to provide a small helper script and a policykit policy file to provide a nicer explanation of what's going on.

Changed in deja-dup:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Low
information type: Public Security → Public
