Inscape and Systems crashes when using any tool

Bug Description

System Linux Mint 14 Nadia Cinnamon

Installed Inscape with Synaptic.

Inscape Version: 0.48.3.1-1ubuntu6.1

When I open Inscape and use a Tool and klick in to use ist. Inscape crashes and my system locks out.

For closing of the thread here the Solution:

Activate the Touchpad! No problems anymore!

Thx for reporting back - based on the feedback I'll link this report as duplicate to bug #1081108 (same workaround applies, future versions of x.org will include a proper fix).

Please add a comment here (bug #1170646) and revert the duplicate status if you disagree or have additional information which would indicate that the issues are different and need to be tracked in separate reports.
