Bug Description

Host is shut down when running lxc-halt with running container.

# uname -a
Linux air 3.8.0-22-generic #33~precise1-Ubuntu SMP Fri May 17 00:58:43 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

# apt-cache policy lxc
lxc:

Thanks for submitting this bug.

lxc-halt is not a command installed by the lxc package. Do you know where you got the version of lxc you are running? Please show the result of:

which lxc-halt
dpkg -S `which lxc-halt`

and append /etc/apt/sources.list and any /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* files you have to this bug.

irc discussions tracked this down - the backports package has lxc-halt from debian, rather than (as it is supposed to have) symlink to lxc-shutdown.

Markign confirmed. Until this is fix released, please use lxc-shutdown instead.
