Bug Description
I was waiting for this function for a long time, since version 0.48. It seems that the development team doesn't consider it necessary. So, I clumsily mimicked some parts of original source codes that do alignment things, so as to have the node alignment be able to do the alignment that I want. If this patch is acceptable, then you guys probably still have to rename variable names to comply with the coding style of yours.
