Bug Description

On this machine with a Z68X-UD3H-B3 Gigabyte mainboard (onboard graphics card: "2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller" accoring to lshw), running "sudo lshw -C display" is enough to reset the graphics to a really really low resolution.

The display is 1920x1080 natively, after running said lshw (only if run as root) the displayed part is more like 480x320. Strangely, this also happens on the virtual terminals, their resolution is also diminished in the same way. X and the terminals still "think" that the resolution is the same as before, but only the upper left part is shown. xrandr still shows the old resolution, there are no new lines in neither Xorg.0.log, syslog nor in my ~/.xsession-errors.

The only way I found to reset the display is to use xrandr and switch to a lower resolution and back to the higher one again.

Please find attached the lshw output.
