Which ARMv8 image do we want gator included in?

ARM asked to have gator tested on FVP base and Cortex models. The job uses hwpack + LAMP rootfs:

IMO, in LAMP. like sftp-server, through
linaro-image-common.inc/SDK_IMAGE_INSTALL

Two issues observed on Open Embedded LAMP build 500:

http://snapshots.linaro.org/openembedded/pre-built/vexpress64/500/vexpress64-openembedded_lamp-armv8-gcc-4.8_20131021-500.img.gz

The binary "gatord" now exists in image, but:

1. Gator daemon is not running by default, process doesn't exist after booted up;

2. No gator.ko found, which means the Gator daemon is failed to launch manually, since that Kernel module is required by the daemon.

marking fix-released since it's the topic of this bug.

fill a separate bug please.

Invalid. The module isn't shipped on arm64.
It's available with vexpress or lsk-vexpress.

While the module builds fine on arm64, it hasn't been confirmed to be supported.

So since the gator.ko module is required by gator daemon, and it's not currently shipped with ARMv8, then by that mean the gator data streaming feature is currently available on Opem Embedded ARMv8.

This feature will be tested again once gator.ko is available. Do we have a schedule on that?
