Bug Description

Ubuntu 13.10

Press the power button to open the "goodbye menu".

Close the lid of your laptop. Ubuntu goes on suspend.

Open the lid and press the power button again.

Ubuntu wakes up without login (unlock) screen although it should appear.
Under "brightness & Lock" the option "Require my password when waking from suspend" is checked and works normally otherwise.

This is a fundamental bug in the design of X11 and cannot be easily fixed within X11.

You should manually lock your screen if a locked session is important to you.
