Bug Description

Binary package hint: gfxboot

With gutsy 20070808 d-i i386, but this has been a problem for some time:

When the cd boots, it presents a menu of available options. When the user then presses Enter (whether on the default option or another), there is a pause before any acknowledgement is made.

There should be a visible change to the display immediately, to reassure the user and avoid them feeling the need to press the key again.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
