Bug Description

(ubuntu-phablet 3.4.0.5-make #31)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click on the menu on the upper right hand side
2. Click on +Calendars
3. Remove the check mark next to a calendar (e.g. birthdays)
4. Return to calendar view and create a new event

Actual result:
- The "muted" calendar is still selectable

Expected result:
- The "muted" calendar should be invisible from the calendar view and the new event view

yes, we are allowing to use all calendars in new event regardless of filter chosen in calendar management view.

and i an not sure if we should hide then in newevent. i would like second opinion on this from design team.

I'm inclined to agree that we should still allow someone to add items to a "known" but "muted" calendar.

Muted to me just means "I don't need/want to see events in my calendar" but if I'm under pressure to create an event - e.g. when I'm out away from my PC, I'd like to be able to do it as quickly as possible, without having to unmute a calendar first.

I am inclined to agree with Kunal and Alan here. The muted calendar option is to only toggle the visibility of events from a certain calendar event in the timeline. New Event should still allow events to be saved to the muted calendar.
