Bug Description

using latest Midori.

when accessing a website asking for basic or digest authentication, Midori displays two slightly different popups, at the same time, asking for the authentication information.

this has happened on different linux machines when accessing a website requesting basic authentication and one requesting digest authentication.

suspect a bug, but needs other confirmation; question posted did not receive any comments.

There is a bug in webkit 2.x that it would fire up its internal popup even if you told it that you would handle it yourself as a programmer. For the time being please just ignore one of those popups. One comes from midori, the other one from webkit.

I have the same problem.

Additional the HTTP authentication is not working at all. The prompt is just displayed again and again. The entered credentials are definitely correct. With Firefox it’s working like a charm.

I would suggest to raise the importance of the bug, because it breaks a lot of (internal) sites and prevents using Midori as a default browser.
