Bug Description

Currently an empty device says this on startup:-

"No music found
Please import music"

This is confusing for new users as they don't know what "import" means or how to do it.

We have multiple ways to get music into the device. It would be great if we could somehow distil this down into something graphical:-

1) Via USB from a computer
2) By loading up an SD card
3) Download music via browser

Perhaps 3 icons in a row

[USB icon / cable] [SD Card Picture] [Browser icon]

It'd be nice to have something more graphical (like the Clock) and also more descriptive to describe what to do.

Question; how do you get music on this from the desktop?

Nevermind; you have to put it in your music folder.

Hi,

Is it confirmed all of these 3 methods will work for RTM? AFAIK the only one supported at the moment is via USB on the computer - dragging files to the Music folder on the device.

I believe all 3 are supported for rtm (as they work now).

  1) Via USB from a computer
MTP
  2) By loading up an SD card
mediascanner supports SD cards, so then we will?
  3) Download music via browser
We have content-hub destination support so this works already.
