Harvey has proposed a nice compact design for this using a 2 .linked buttons with the icons "pan-start-symbolic" and "pan-end-symbolic"

Almost the same as what Music already had, but with different icons instead.

But I think Dan wants it on the bottom left corner for Files' dialog.
