Bug Description

Every time a plug my pen drive and copy/cut any document/folder from there and paste it into a ElementaryOS folder, commonly in my documents, I have to enter in another folder and go back to documents folder to see the pasted document/folder there.

PS: I'm using Freya.

I cannot reproduce this. Which version of Files are you using and exactly how are you carrying the copy (e.g. using keyboard, context menu or drag/drop; between tabs or windows)?

I don't know how can I get the version of files I'm using.

I realized it happens only with folders, no matter using keyboards
shortcuts or context menu. Using drag-and-drop it appears to work fine. The
problem is the other ways. Regardless using a pen drive or just copying
files in my hard drive.

PS: it happens between windows and using only one window as well.

Jeremy, same issue here, using Freya and Files 0.2.0.

It will happen while pasting via right-click menu and ctrl-c/ctrl-v and with the same details Yuri has just described. The copy/paste keyboard shortcuts will also sometimes not work - but that's a different bug.

Yuri, terminal "pantheon-files -a" to get your version.

Oh, thank you guy!

My Files version is the same as yours, it's 0.2.0.

Just updating after more testing. It happens with both local and external media files, between windows, between tabs and pasting after browsing to another folder.

Hitting "refresh" will flicker the files but will not show the new pasted files.

Is there anyway I can log this event to paste here?
