Bug Description

I have two different profiles in BIT, both scheduled to start as soon as the backup drive is connected.

If enough time has passed for both profiles, as soon as I connect and mount the device, both profiles start at the same time. This is not optimal and if BIT were able to serialize them (at least optionally) the backup process would be more efficient, since the target device in my case is a standard mechanical hard drive and two simultaneous backup increase seeking a lot.

Apart from this (which by itself would be an enhancement), an actual bug is that when both profiles start, I see two BIT icons in the tray notification area, but both of them, if I hold the mouse over, show me the exact same file being copied. Instead, one should show me the current file being copied for profile 1, the other should show me the current file being copied for profile 2.

If I open the BIT main window, instead, and I look at the status bar after switching the current profile in the combo box in the upper left corner, the status information shown there is right for both profiles.

Note: both profiles are "full rsync" tasks.

Hi Germar,
sorry if ask, but I saw the "serialize" option in the new testing version of BIT.
However, it's not really clear to me how it is supposed to work. I mean, in my mind this should be a "global" BIT option, but I find it in the settings of each profile.
So, if I have profile 1 and profile 2 and I want them to be serialized in case they should start at the same time, do I have to check the option in profile 1 settings, in profile 2 settings or in both?

It is actually a global option. If you set it in one profile it will be enabled for all profiles. But you have to set it for all users.

We don't have a global options tab yet. And I didn't want to create one just for this. But I know that this is a bit confusing by now.
