backspace after searching for a file/folder will bring me to main directories

Bug Description
When I type a word to find a file or a folder and then I delete it using backspace, as soon as I deleted all the letters of the word if I keep pressing the backspace button it would bring me to main directories, like what would happen if I just open a folder and then press backspace.
