Menu text is misleading

In the Add/Remove Applications, the user can change the Show selection to "All Open Source applications", Now call me silly but I thought that would mean I would get to see "All Open Source applications". Especially since the hover / tip text for the "All Open Source applications" choice reads:
  "Show all Ubuntu applications which can be freely used, modified and distributed. This includes a large variety of community maintained applications."

But I could not see, for instance, the choice for Kate editor using Add/Remove Applications. Kate is GPL'd, is available from the Ubuntu repository, and even shows up in Synaptic with the Ubuntu logo in the "supported" column.

In a response to my question in Launchpad Answers (Answer #15931), it was suggested that the list of applications is purposely pruned down. Hey, that makes sense, and because most who want Kate installed probably already know how to get it (apt-get, or Synaptic, etc.), I have no problem with that being a pruned list -- especially since Synaptic shows over 20,000 packages.

But then the Show should somehow indicate that this is still a collection of popular applications and is not a true "All Open Source applications" list. Perhaps the solution is add to or reword the tooltip to indicate "excluding the less popular applications".
