no name icon appears on load

Bug Description
Whenever I launch AWN a "no name" icon appears on the launcher. I can right click and choose close but the item is not referenced in the launchers section. It is an icon that appears in the a launcher part of the dock.
I have completely and utterly removed AWN at one point to try to remove it but it does not resolve the issue. It is not critical but it is a real annoyance.

could you please describe which other (windowed) programs are open as well, it may be a stray window awn is identifying wrongly....
