Mir does not start in VirtualBox

Bug Description

If I want to start Unity 8 in my virtual box /VM Yakketi, Unity does not start at all, it goes straight back to the start screen

Unfortunately VirtualBox is currently incompatible with Mir, the only VM that can run Unity8 is KVM/QEMU and possibly VMWare Player at the moment, AFAICT.
