Can't change screensaver

Bug Description
No matter what screensaver I've choosen, it's always the default screensaver that is shown (the one with translucent black background and white clock).
System info: https:/
1) Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon 64-bit
2) Open System Settings > Screen Saver > choose any screen saver you like > wait for the time out
3) Default screen saver is shown
4) My selected screen saver should be displayed
5) Always
