When using the Add Item checkbox in the MARC editor, you can specify a new call number label and copy barcode and when the Save button is pressed a new tab will open with a pre-filled editor ready to go. Unfortunately, the Save buttons are permanently disabled unless you further modify the barcode (that you just entered and is presumably correct). This is because the copy object's empty_barcode flag is set to true when it's created but when the incoming barcode is assigned this flag isn't updated; currently the only place that the empty_barcode flag can be set to false is in the barcode change monitor in the UI.
