Starting in Pike, the list of polling meters has gone from all to a restricted list (see https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/stable/pike/etc/ceilometer/polling.yaml for the new list, and https://github.com/openstack/ceilometer/blob/stable/ocata/etc/ceilometer/polling.yaml for the 'old' one).
The default has therefore changed between releases, and we're seeing customers asking where their metrics have gone following an upgrade.
Can we arrange the charm to support either of the two metric lists that are supplied in the code - either the default restricted list in polling.yaml, or the unrestricted list in polling_all.yaml (which isn't delivered by the package as far as I can tell)?
Ideally, if we're bringing polling.yaml under management, we should be able to change the polling interval as well.
