Path Effects shortcut mixed with Division (Shift+Ctrl+7)

Bug Description

Opening it from the menu Path > Path Effects works fine but when I hit Shift+Ctrl+7 the only thing I get is a note in statusbar: Select at least 2 paths to perform a boolean operation.

If I have 2 paths selected and they overlap I get Division (Ctrl+/) if I hit Shift+Ctrl+7

I guess this is a regional keyboard problem, cos my / is above number 7

Im on WinXP, build 24th Dec

ctrl+shift+ ampersand should work to get the LPE dialog btw.

It does ;)

my amp is above 6, so I hit Shift+Ctrl+6 to open LPE dialog, it doesn't close it though.

Does that mean that the shortcut just needs to be renamed to Shift+Ctrl+amp?

Since 7 is on the same key as / when using the shift key, Ctrl-Shift-7 is the same as Ctrl-/, thus the confusion.

Ctrl-Shift-6 or Ctrl-& works here too.

/ is on the key 7 in the Portuguese keyboard layout at least.

Someone should rename the shortcut to CTRL-&.
On german keyboard layout it's working fine too.

Duplicate of bug #165755 “keys inaccessible with localized/platform-specific keyboards”? (Does Inkscape need localized keymap files?)

Yes, this is the same kind of issue.

Maybe not. But at least it could let users modify the shortcuts in the preferences dialog (see Gimp).
