window over writes gnome panel

Bug Description
When a file is crafted on a computer with a display of 1280x1024 is saved and then opened on a computer with a display of 1024x768 the image consumes the screen overwriting the gnome panels without window borders.

Hi j_baer,
This issue should go over at bug 170410, where several ppl are already discussing the problem. Also, I can't reproduce it on current development version--you may want to try a 0.46 preview release and see if it is fixed for you, too...
