Bug Description

There is a bug in beamer v3.65 which is fixed in beamer v3.66. A full description along with the workaround you currently have to use is given at https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/641909/package-option-for-xcolor-is-not-being-properly-used-in-beamer .

It would be great if an updated version of texlive with the newer version of beamer could be packaged up for jammy.

Note that if we are not updating the version number the license requires they mark it as not the same beamer as everyone else has.

Apparently upstream don't want us to cherry-pick the fix. It's probably fine legally, but I don't think it's worth getting into that given that I was only volunteering my time to try and help.

Setting Won't Fix since it seems that this is unlikely to get fixed in Jammy then. I've not checked the status in the development release. If an Ubuntu developer wants to drive fixing this, or a volunteer finds an Ubuntu developer willing to sponsor a fix, then feel free to reopen.
