Bug Description
After upgrading from Ubuntu 22.04 to 22.10, gnugb stopped working correctly.
While mouse operations work for all of the menus, and for doing things in the non-board panels, regular left-mouse clicks do not work in the main board panel after the very first click, to conduct the who-moves-
After that, right-clicks bring up the "Undo Move / Score Sheet" menu, but left clicks do nothing. I am able to roll with Ctrl-r and type in moves in the command window. But I cannot roll or move checkers using the mouse.
Quite strange.

I assume you're using the 3D board.
gnubg is using an obsolete way to do picking with the 3D board that has broken with the latest version of Mesa. There is unfortunately not a fix at present. I just disabled the 3D board for now in the latest version of the Debian package. The 2D board should continue to work fine (if, sadly, not be as pretty) if you switch back to it (Settings -> Board Appearance -> General).
