Bug Description
Device:
Kernel: 5.15.0-72-generic x86_64
Desktop: MATE 1.26.0
Distro: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)
Graphics:
Device-1: Intel 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics driver: i915 v: kernel
Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 1.21.1.4 driver: X: loaded: modesetting
unloaded: fbdev,vesa gpu: i915 resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa Intel HD Graphics 4000 (IVB GT2)
v: 4.2 Mesa 22.2.5
Affected Software:
google-chrome stable 113.0.5672.126-1 amd64
brave-browser stable 1.51.118 amd64
I ran the ritual "apt" sequence this morning and my system upgraded the following:
libegl-mesa0:amd64
libgbm1:amd64
libgl1-
libglx-mesa0:amd64
libglapi-mesa:amd64
libxatracker2:amd64
mesa-va-
mesa-vdpau-
mesa-vulkan-
mokutil:amd64
The Google Chrome and Brave browsers are unusable. The Desktop bleeds through them.
I don't profess to know anything about the inner workings of Ubuntu, but suspect it has something to do with the "mesa" drivers.
Thanks,
-MD
