checkdatabase hanging

Bug Description
calibre comes after database check.
Try to fix the failures,.. a big blue bar on the middle of the screen shows up
After 51 houres nothing happend...may be a recordcounter beside the bar helps.
Now i wait useless
When i abort it, there comes a pop up with a message the database is read only????
I stands on drive D:\ with normal acces for a very long time.
