alt-f2 forgets history after logging out of kde4

Bug Description

I run a few commands with alt-f2:
kate text1.txt
kate xorg.conf.new

after logging out and back into kde4 the history is gone, nothing appears then I click on that arrow in alt-f2 run dialog

This might happen if Plasma crashes when you logout and can therefore not safe the history.

Is this the case for you?
Does it still happen with KDE 4.0.3?

yes this is kde 4.0.3 kubuntu hardy and run history is still forgotten after logout.
How can I tell if plasma crashed during logout?

There might be somee errors in a file called .xsession-errors in your home directory.

confirmed - $HOME/.kde4/share/config/krunnerrc does not exist

Should Intrepid w. KDE4.2 have this fixed, I still have (from the duplicate) the problem that Kate's recent files stays empty..

That should not have been marked as a duplicate. That kate bug is bug 41651.
