Bug Description

HD Maxtor 80 Go SATA 1 on VIA VT8251 controller. With the Hardy Heron 8.04 release this disk is not found. With the Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 release ( kernel 2.6.22-14-generic ) the disk is OK. The HD configuration is 3 IDE HD and 1 SATA HD. I try with live-CD, alternat-CD and mini-boot-CD.

duplicate with https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/190492
workaround is to boot with kernel option 'pci=nomsi'
