I am the main developer of buzztard. There is a svn for debian buzztard packages. One package (bml) is ready, 3 need to be done. Unfortunately I am quite a noob regarding debian packaging. It would rock to have packages for the comming 0.5 release. If anyone could help me, we could do a session via irc to get it packaged (I am on freenode as ensonic, e.g. in #buzztard,#gstreamer).

I've started down the road of packaging buzztard and its dependencies, you can find my work here: https://edge.launchpad.net/~awalton/+archive/ppa

It's still not quite up to par, but it should be pretty close. Need to do some more verification that everything necessary is being installed and in there right places and that the debian/copyright files are correctly up to date. Should be doable within the Karmic cycle (fingers crossed).
