i can't mount my floppy disk

Bug Description

i am using ubuntu since hardy heron version and i have never been able to mount floppy disks in ubuntu, now i am using intrepid ibex and i have exactly the same problem.

i went to the terminal and typed this: "sudo modprobe floppy" and then "echo floppy | sudo tee -a /etc/modules", because before i typed this i could see no drive icon at "computer:///", tell me what file or terminal output you need and I'll send it to you!
