Bug Description

Here's how to do this:

1. Open Gnome-Do 0.8.0
2. type the name of a file (with Files & Folders V2.0 plugin active and indexing)
3. press TAB and ARROW DOWN until you pass "copy to..." and/or "move to..."

The program and my desktop will freeze for a couple of seconds. (mouse is move-able though)

I'm on Ubuntu 8.10, kernel 2.6.27-9
CPU: Intel core2 T7250 2.0 GHz
RAM: 2GB
GPU: Nvidia 8600m GT 256mb

Can you attach the output of starting Do in a terminal with

    $ gnome-do --debug

?

See the line that says "An IndexedFolder has been created that will index
folder /media/Files/Others 5 folders deep. This may result in excessive
memory consumption and poor performance. Please make sure that you only
index the files you open frequently." This is your problem. You are indexing
way too many files.

8.542 Files to be exact in . It should be able to handle that though :-)
But how does this affect the "move to/copy to" option on the second column of Gnome-do?
Is it because it has to load all the directories in the third column?

If this is the problem, can the folders be preloaded? :-)
