Bug Description
Binary package hint: banshee
I am using Ubuntu 9.04 updated as of today, with notify-osd 0.9.6-0ubuntu2, banshee 1.4.3-3ubuntu1, gnome-settings-
With the new notification bubbles working, and confirmation bubbles at hotkey actions, I saw a little glitch when starting playing.
Steps to reproduce:
1. make sure banshee is open and reduced to tray
2. make sure it is not playing nor paused
3. start playing
4. before the first "audio track title" bubble has disappeared, press play-next or play-previous hotkey
Expected result:
At every moment there should be no more than two bubbles: a confirmation bubble of "play-next" or "play-previous", being removed by eventual new confirmation bubble on hotkey action, and a notification bubble with the new playing track title, being removed by eventual new playing track.
What happens:
See attached screenshots: the audio track changes notification bubbles immediately after the first one are being placed over the confirmation bubble of hotkey action.
In normal use (after having waited for the first bubble to fade away), the expected result is achieved.
Ah yes I see it too. But this is not a Banshee issue, it's a notify-osd
issue. Applications do not have control over where their notifications
appear.
