beeps while shutdown or reboot

Bug Description

i do not know whether this is a bug: the motherboard have a short beep while i shutting down or reboot the computer(during the shutdown procedure).
this may not a big problem,but the sound make me uncomfortable.

my system:
Linux lu 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:58:03 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

This isn't a bug as far as I'm aware, and there are ways to disable it:http://ubuntu-tutorials.com/2007/07/26/turning-off-the-system-hardware-beep-linux-tutorial/ . As such, I'm converting this bug to a question.

I can confirm this as a bug. Actually, this report is a duplicate of bug #290204, that will hopefully be fixed by the One Hundred Paper Cut project in time for the Karmic release.
