See http://doc.bazaar-vcs.org/latest/en/user-reference/index.html#configuration-settings -- there is no mention of BZR_LOG environment variable.

It would also be useful to document where the default location of the log file is. It took me a while to even notice it was generated by default on Windows (it seems to default to the "My Documents" directory, which may not be the best place).

bzr --version

Tells you where the log file is.

It would be good to document that too :)

The docs do mention elsewhere that bzr version will show the location of configuration files, but if you're trying to scan the docs to see where the log file is (or how to check where it is) it's easy to skip over this.
