Bug Description

The status box (where you select when your Available, Away, Invisible, Offline, etc) has a small amount of space to the right that could be utilized by the widget. If you resize the empathy window horizontally, it grows larger but still never uses all the space available to it. I'll attach a screenshot to make this a bit easier :).

The space is used for the throbber which indicates when Empathy is connecting to your accounts.

The solution to this would probably be to display the throbber permanently, but when the account is offline/online, have it greyed out (see Firefox activity indicator as an example).

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.
