Bug Description

Ubuntu Karmic x86 64bit installed from alpha 4, with all updates as of August 30, 2009.

After setting my font rendering options to use full hinting (rather than the default of slight), Gnome in general adjusted to use this setting. Firefox, however, continues to render fonts in the same manner (thicker "slight" hinted fonts rather than the thinner "full" hinted fonts). This disparity between font rendering in Gnome applications (panel, terminal) and Firefox persists across logout/login cycles and reboots. Under Jaunty, Firefox font rendering matches that of the rest of the Gnome desktop after a Firefox restart.

Firefox : 3.5.2+nobinonly-0ubuntu2

I'm not sure which packages I should provide information for on the Gnome end.
