Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

gwibber doesn't show jpeg profile pictures anymore, png works fine, the X driver is intel.
It works on my other machine which has a nvidia card so I think the x driver has something to do with it, both machines are i686 and have compiz disabled.

This wasn't a gwibber bug.
It had to do something with the xorg-video-intel and/or mesa packages I installed from the xorg-edgers ppa.
Now that I reverted to vanilla karmic packages gwibber shows all profile pictures. (png and jpeg)

It worked for a few days but now it is broken again.
It broke somewhere between 8 and 15 October.

I downgraded to mesa 7.6.0-1ubuntu1 but that didn't change anything.
xorg-video-intel and webkit downgrade didn't change anything either.

It sometimes shows the reflection of the profile picture.

I found a workaround:
Open /usr/share/gwibber/ui/templates/defaultcss.mako
and uncomment in the .imgbox class
-webkit-border-radius: 3px;

So this seems to be a libwebkit rendering bug with intel cards.

affects: gwibber (Ubuntu) → webkit (Ubuntu)

In Debian, I had to uncomment that line in the file /usr/share/gwibber/ui/themes/<my-theme>/theme.css and it seems to work fine.
