Bug Description

I use a Acer Aspire One D250 Netbook, i am Running Ubuntu 9.10 beta. Whenever I attemp to boot with the power connectioed i get a error of the"-" character blinking half way through booting. however if I boot off the battery it boots fine. Also if i plug the power cable in befor im logged in it goes into stand by. If i let my netbook sit for a long period of time in standby it will not come back out without a hard-reset. furthermore ive disabled the automatic standby time out but it still goes into stanby. any and all bug fixes/ package updates are appreciated.
