Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

Since my last update of the Ubuntu, the system was different times suddenly locked.
I had to turn of the Notebook and start again.

This message appears intermittently while using Firefox. Reinstalling Google Gears does not help.

I am experiencing this bug as well, using both Firefox and Swiftfox (I have a shared profile) on Ubuntu Karmic.

I'm seeing this error too on my desktop using Ubuntu Karmic. I also reinstalled firefox 3.5.5 and Ggears using synaptic and web with no change. Going to gears.google.com shows "0.5.32.0;official;opt;linux;firefox" is installed but I can't configure gears. Clicking Tools -> GearsSettings does absolutely nothing and preferences for gears in Add-ons is grayed out. I have a Laptop using the same .Mozilla profile and doesn't have this issue. The laptop was a clean install. The desktop was an upgrade from 9.04.
